Institute for Medical Research

The Fundación Jiménez Díaz Institute for Medical Research (IIS-FJD) is a joint initiative of the Fundación Jiménez Díaz (FJD) and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), whose partnership dates back to the 1970's. This well-established endeavor has been marked by a commitment to quality and teaching in addition to the institution’s clinical, care-related activity.

The primary goal of the IIS-FJD is to uphold the institution's renown within the Spanish National Health System as a center for excellence in biomedical research. This aim is achieved by fostering and advancing research with the core belief that science and technology are the basic elements necessary for creating growth and societal well-being.
