Summary of scientific output

In order to demonstrate the scientific excellence of the IIS-FJD, UAM researchers in achieving their aims, an analysis of scientific output has been carried out, taking into account the publications and journals where original articles have been published. The average impact factor of these journals is a useful way of measuring the scientific quality of investigators.

In 2014, 456 original articles were published, accumulating an average impact factor of 4.3. The overall impact factor in 2014 representing all the journals that accepted papers from our institution was 1664.5. 202 of the publications that appeared in 2014 are in the top quartile of their respective fields of specialization.
