The Scientific Activity Unit is responsible for the evaluation and monitoring of the scientific output generated by IIS-FJD. Its primary objective is to ensure the accurate collection, analysis and dissemination of the research activity carried out across the Institute.

Its scope of activity includes both the management of scientific productivity data and the preparation of strategic reports for different organisational levels and external bodies. The data analysed include indicators related to human resources, research projects, clinical trials, observational studies, patents, licences and scientific publications.

In addition, the unit plays a key role in the preparation of major institutional documentation, including scientific reports, technical and financial reports, as well as the generation of monitoring indicators linked to the Strategic Plan and accreditation and reaccreditation processes. The unit also acts as a liaison between different internal departments and external regulatory and funding bodies, ensuring the quality, consistency and traceability of the information generated.
