The primary mission of the Training and Outreach Unit is to promote the professional development and continuous training of the Institute's research staff, contributing to the strengthening of the competencies required for the successful conduct of scientific activities.

Through the design and implementation of training programmes, the unit promotes the updating of knowledge, the exchange of experiences and the acquisition of key skills in research and management. It also plays a proactive role in identifying training needs, ensuring that the educational portfolio is aligned with the Institute's strategic objectives.

In addition, the Unit promotes scientific outreach activities aimed at the public through the organisation and coordination of initiatives such as patient engagement events, the Science Week, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and the 4th ESO + Company Programme, among others.
