About Us
The Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital – Autonomous University of Madrid was founded with a clear mission: to serve all cancer patients while striving toward a future in which we can anticipate and prevent the onset of this disease. Our guiding principle is to make early diagnosis and prevention a reality, avoiding scenarios in which cancer is too often detected at advanced stages.
We firmly believe that only through the collaboration of all specialists—working side by side with patients and their caregivers—can we overcome this disease. Each patient is unique and irreplaceable; therefore, we seek not only to provide individualized therapy, but also to address all symptoms comprehensively, offering full psychological and emotional support, as well as assistance to the patient’s personal environment.
To achieve this goal, our Center is committed to pioneering research that serves the patient, enabling us to offer the latest advances in diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. From animal models to phase 1–3 clinical trials, research is an integral part of our identity. In this regard, we work closely with leading international centers.
We are also committed to education and training in cancer diagnosis and treatment, from undergraduate to subspecialty levels. This includes active involvement in teaching medical, nursing, biology, and biomedical engineering students, as well as participation in Master’s, Preceptorship, and international Fellowship programs.
Above all, what defines our Comprehensive Cancer Center team is our dedication to standing alongside people with cancer—to overcome the disease and help shape a cancer-free future. We are building this path together.
