Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz, founded more than 80 years ago by Dr Carlos Jiménez Díaz, has had an agreement with the public health system since 1953, thanks to which it offers public health services in Spain.

Aligned with the commitments of its parent company, Quirónsalud, it counts on renowned professionals engaged in healthcare, teaching and research. It has agreements with Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, among others, and has its own School of Nursing and a Health Research Institute (IIS-FJD), set up in 2009 under an agreement with this university. Moreover, covering almost 80,000 sqm, it is equipped with state-of-the-art healthcare technology and offers a wide range of services. These services include:

Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital is committed to a quality policy focused on continuous improvement, as set out in the methodologies and systematic approaches of the Integrated Global Management System based on international ISO standards, and has been awarded three Quality, Environment and Energy Management certifications (according to UNE-EN-ISO 9001, UNE-EN -ISO 14001 and 50001), while the IIS-FJD also counts on certification of its R&D&I Management System according to UNE 166002.

Furthermore, since 2016 it has based its holistic quality model on integrating the EFQM European Excellence Model and the aforementioned UNE-EN ISO standards, while in 2018 it was awarded the "Madrid Excelente" seal and became the first and only national research and teaching hospital—whether public or private—of its level of complexity to obtain the EFQM 5 Stars Excellence in Management, with a score of over 650 points.
