Relatives and friends
Patients and visitors alike must respect some basic rules with a view to ensuring the best possible service and care. These standards have been developed with the well-being of all our patients in mind.
- Relatives and visitors must keep the corridors clear at all times. Please use the waiting rooms provided.
- Talk quietly to avoid disturbing others, and keep the volume down when watching TV or listening to the radio.
- Doors in the room should be kept closed, in order to ensure privacy for patients and their visitors and also avoid causing disturbance to adjacent rooms.
- If the patient is to undergo surgery, relatives or companions should remain in the waiting room while the operation is taking place. This will ensure they can be quickly located should circumstances so require.
- Smoking is forbidden throughout the centre.
- Patients may receive visitors in accordance with the centre’s internal rules. When necessary, the centre may restrict access to rooms by relatives and friends.
