Use ultrasound imaging as an additional tool to assist clinicians in comprehensively assessing urgent patients. Performing bedside ultrasounds in the emergency department not only reduces response times in urgent situations, but also gives physicians an examination that significantly enhances the findings of the physical assessment, sometimes removing the need for subsequent outpatient tests.

Antimicrobial Stewardship and Bacteremia Unit

Multidisciplinary unit in charge of following up patients with bacteremia and sepsis detected in the emergency department. It also advises and liaises with other hospital physicians in optimal, rational use of antibiotics in order to avoid the appearance of bacterial resistance in our healthcare setting.

Follow-up unit for patients who have been involved in a traffic accident

Follow-up consultations for patients who have been seen in the emergency department after suffering a traffic accident. Multidisciplinary care is offered by specialists in Rehabilitation, Traumatology and A&E.

Osteoarticular Infection Unit

Multidisciplinary team made up of internists, microbiologists and traumatologists in charge of caring for patients with osteoarticular infectious processes, including prosthetic infections and infections of other materials used in orthopaedics.

Follow-up consultation of patients with thromboembolic disease

Follow-up of patients who have suffered an event related to venous thromboembolic disease in consultations involving several specialists.

Follow-up consultation for older patients with heart failure

Follow-up consultation for patients with heart failure and comorbidities, treating such a prevalent disease in order to reduce the number of hospital admissions and improve their quality of life.

Non-invasive mechanical ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy group

Made up of emergency physicians for patients presenting respiratory failure and requiring ventilatory support devices or high-flow oxygen administration.

Group of experts in basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Responsible for refreshing and training other healthcare professionals on cardiopulmonary arrest situations.

Expert group on autoimmune diseases

Multidisciplinary team for diagnosis, stabilisation and follow-up in autoimmune pathology consultations.
