Fundación Jiménez Díaz's Department of Angiology and Vascular Surgery was a pioneer in establishing vascular surgery as an independent speciality in our country, and also one of the first to develop teaching as an independent speciality, in our case from 1972 onwards.

Angiology and Vascular Surgery is a medical-surgical discipline that offers our patients comprehensive care, covering prevention, diagnosis (including Doppler ultrasound), medical and surgical treatment (both conventional and endovascular techniques), and follow-up for various vascular diseases.

We have consistently had a strong commitment to teaching, regarding training for residents as a key, integral part of our speciality.

Our speciality is constantly evolving in line with scientific and technical advances. In 2018, two hybrid operating rooms were opened, becoming the first ever in a public hospital in the community of Madrid.
