Teaching:

  • As a university hospital, the HUFJD is associated with the School of Medicine at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). The Intensive Care Medicine Service is actively involved in undergraduate medical and nursing training programmes.
  • Collaborative service with Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (U.A.M.) in the subject Critical Patients (2nd cycle). Seminars for 2nd-Cycle Medical and Clinical Rotation Students, 2-4 weeks per Service, with integration in clinical practice. Part of the Intensive Care Medicine elective course at the U.A.M. We also have several ERASMUS scholarship students from other countries.
  • The HUFJD's Intensive Care Medicine Department offers a complete training programme for medical residents. We offer one medical residency position, which we wish to increase to 2 thanks to the upgrade of our unit to 23 individual rooms. Medical residents from other specialities also rotate through our unit, with an average of 3 residents rotating from different specialities (no more than 5 at the same time).
