Surgical pathology units: histopathological diagnosis, divided into subspecialities:
- Head and neck pathology (otorhinolaryngology, oropharynx).
- Digestive pathology (gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary tracts and pancreas).
- Dermatopathology (functional and tumour pathology of the skin).
- Endocrine pathology (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal).
- Gynaecopathology (female reproductive system).
- Haematopathology (lymph nodes, bone marrow, spleen).
- Breast pathology.
- Nephropathology (functional renal biopsies).
- Pneumopathology (lungs, lower airways, pleura and mediastinum).
- Neuropathology (central nervous system, hypophysis, functional muscle-nerve, ocular pathology).
- Soft tissue (soft tissue and musculoskeletal tumours).
- Uropathology (male reproductive system, urinary system).
Cytopathology Unit: cytological diagnosis (exfoliative cytology, by scrapings and fine needle aspiration)
Molecular pathology unit: molecular diagnostics
